Mar 11, 2011 MTV2 MAIN MTV2 SHOWS SUCKER FREE VIDEO PREMIERES MTV2 SCHEDULE The National Shows Off Its Patriotism In 'Coversation 16' Brooklyn-via-Cincinnati quintet The National debuts a brand-new video, for the single "Conversation 16." And given the cast of John Slattery of "Mad Men" and Kristen Schaal of "The Daily Show," we're pretty much sold already. In keeping with their patriotic name, The National looks to the presidency for inspiration, as Slattery and lead singer Matt Berninger play Secret Service agents assigned to protect the bored-looking President Schaal (extra credit for a female president). But even Secret Service agents get lonely, as Slattery—who looks so much like a real agent, it's scary—falls in love with the woman he swore to protect.
