Foo Fighters Bringing 'White Limo' VHS Vibe To 'Rope'

Last month, the Foo Fighters foisted the clip for "White Limo" upon the world, a decidedly awesome, shot-on-VHS ode to classic hair-metal vids of the '80s and, of course, Motörhead mastermind Lemmy Kilmister too.

The response to the video was overwhelming: It has since eclipsed the million-view mark on YouTube, and, in a lot of ways, it influenced Foos frontman (and director) Dave Grohl's decision to make a proper video for the song "Rope," which will make its world premiere tonight at 7:54 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by an exclusive Q&A session from one lucky Foo fan's house to be live-streamed on MTV.com. Foo Fighters To Perform Live At mtvU Woodie Awards

As if the lineup of Wiz Khalifa, Odd Future, Sleigh Bells and Two Door Cinema Club wasn't good enough, you can now add Foo Fighters to the list of performers at the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards, broadcast live during the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, March 16, at midnight ET on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU.

This will be the first-ever appearance by Dave Grohl and company at the Woodies. The group is set to perform "Rope," the debut single from their upcoming seventh album Wasting Light.
