The annual music festival in Austin, Texas, is just around the corner, and will feature performances from nearly 2,000 artists. This week on All Songs Considered, Bob Boilen, Robin Hilton, Stephen Thompson and Ann Powers discuss some of the acts they're most excited to see.

Steve Riley and his Mamou Playboys make sweet Cajun music together: music steeped in the French heritage of southwestern Louisiana and driven by accordion and fiddle. Watch the Grammy-nominated Cajun band play an upbeat yet bittersweet set from the NPR Music offices.

There aren't many bands more reliant on drumming than The Dodos: The new No Color pounds and clatters with such precision and clarity, the whomp of the drums might as well get a lead-vocal credit. Hear the album here until its release on March 15.
