Since making their considerable contributions to James Brown’s trademark sound, horn players Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley & Maceo Parker have all forged significant solo careers leading their own bands and collaborating with many other artists.
The rhythm section that backed these funk masters in the 1990s will join them here: keyboardist Larry Goldings, drummer Bill Stewart and guitarist Rodney Jones, with the addition of bassist Christian McBride. A special guest will be announced soon.
