In recent years, everyone from Nicki Minaj to the Polyphonic Spree, Daddy Yankee, Keri Hilson, Wale and B.o.B have made major splashes at the event. This year it's Young the Giant's turn.
The California rockers, who've scored a pair of alternative radio hits with "My Body" and the charging rocker "Cough Syrup," will make their VMA performance debut on August 28 when they take the stage at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
