Dear omss, Several weeks ago, I wrote to tell you that one especially generous donor made a one-time "matching gift" pledge of $1 million to the Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation. In the weeks that followed, we received an outpouring of support from Founding Sponsors everywhere, and every single gift was automatically matched by funds from our generous donor. This gave us a wonderful financial boost as we head into the last few months of construction. But we still need an additional $8 million to reach our final goal, and that's why we have pushed back the deadline for this "matching gift" offer.
