| Dear omss, On Monday, April 4, 2011, we will commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of America's greatest civil rights leaders. Thanks to you and other generous Founding Sponsors, construction of the Memorial remembering the life and legacy of Dr. King, is almost complete! All of us here at the Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation are looking forward to the glorious day that we unveil this memorial to the world this coming August with a remarkable Dedication Ceremony on the National Mall. But we are not quite there yet. Right now, we must focus on raising the final $9 million needed to "Build the Dream." And, remember, we have just FOUR short months to reach our goal. By donating $5 or more to the Foundation today, you can light a "virtual candle" to help us complete this historical and magnanimous project, while also honoring the 43rd anniversary of Dr. King's assassination. Will you make a special one-time donation of at least $5 today, which will immediately make a direct impact on the completion of Dr. King's National Memorial? I am deeply appreciative of everything you and our generous Founding Sponsors have done to help us keep construction of this once-in-a-lifetime project on schedule. We would not be where we are without you. Thank you so much for being our partner and our friend in this noble mission.
P.S. Please make a donation of just $5 or more today to light a "virtual candle" that will honor and remember the sacrifices of America's greatest champion of justice and equality. Your generous donation will also ensure that we can complete Dr. King's Memorial and unveil it to the world this August 28th. | ![]() |
